Appray for iPhone and iPad

The questions that come up most often. If yours is not here, write to support@appray.app and it probably belongs on this page.

The app

Does it work offline? All of it. Appray contains no networking code at all — no requests, no web views, nothing that opens a connection. There is no online mode, so there is nothing to fall back from when you have no signal.
Do I need an account? No. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to sign in to.
Does it use AI? No. Every verdict comes from scoring rules the app shows you, applied to the answers you gave. Nothing is sent to a model, and the same answers produce the same report every time.
Which devices, and which languages? iPhone and iPad. Appray follows your device language and speaks English, German and Russian. To use a different language just for Appray, open Settings → Appray → Language on your device.

Do you see what I type? No — and not because we promise not to look. There is no server to look at. The app has no code that could send your answers anywhere, so nothing you write reaches us, an AI service, or anyone else.
Where is my data kept? On your device, in Appray's own storage. Your projects, answers, feature verdicts and saved reports never leave it. There is no cloud copy and no backup held by us, which cuts both ways: nobody can read it, and nobody can restore it. If you delete the app, it is gone.
Can I get my work out of the app? Yes. Any report can be copied or shared as Markdown from the report screen, and saved reports stay in History until you delete them.
Can I ask you for a copy of my data, or ask you to delete it? There is nothing here to send you or to erase. Your answers and reports never reach us, so no copy of them exists on our side to hand over. Two things do reach us: an email you send to support, and the ordinary server log this site's host records when you visit. Your rights apply to both in full — the privacy policy says what they are and how to use them.
Does this website track me? No. These pages are static HTML with no analytics, no cookies and no third-party scripts of any kind. That is also why you have not been asked to accept anything.

Is it a subscription? No. Appray is free, and Appray Pro is a one-off purchase rather than a recurring one: nothing renews and nothing is charged again.
What stays free? The full Build / Kill / Prove report, your saved report history, Markdown export and starting a new quest. The report is not going behind a price later: charging for the verdict would make every verdict look bought.
So what is Appray Pro? Additions, not the thing you already have — running several ideas side by side, a laid-out PDF of the report to send to a co-founder or an investor, and a comparison between two runs of the same project showing which verdicts moved. One payment, $4.99.
How do I get a purchase back on a new phone? Purchases belong to the Apple Account that made them, not to the device. Sign in with the same Apple Account, open the Reports tab and tap Restore Purchases.
How do refunds work? Anything bought through the App Store is a transaction with Apple, and refunds go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

How do I report a bug or ask something? Email support@appray.app. Replies come from one person, in English, German or Russian, usually within a couple of days. For a bug, include your device model, your iOS version and the Appray version, and add a screenshot if you can — it saves a round of questions.
Will Appray tell me whether my idea will work? No. Appray does not prove product-market fit and does not guarantee that an idea will succeed. It turns your assumptions into clearer decisions and a shortlist of what to test first. What you do with that is yours.
